“Black Elk said that we’re all standing in a circle—red, yellow, black, and white—and our path leads us to the center. Someday we can see each other. We can’t touch each other yet, but where those paths meet, that place is holy.

Realizing that when you say ‘Mitakuye Oyasin‘, all my relatives, you are not just talking about, “oh, my aunties, my cousin up in Phoenix.” It means all are my relatives. All are my relatives.”
